To enjoy a jazz record, no need to know the name of that guitarist who played on that other record that year with that quartet under that label.
To enjoy a jazz record, we recommend spending Jazz Week at Vin & Vinyle! Every night, the host spins their favourite album on the turntable and shares why they love it so much.
All while you’re enjoying a glass of fine imported wine by Les Décuveurs, specially paired with the music. Cheers!

Born in Quebec City, Guillaume Pilote began studying piano at the age of 8, then percussion at 12 years old. After a stint at Cégep in classical percussion, his interest in jazz led him to enroll at McGill University where he completed a bachelor's degree in the spring of 2014. That same year, he won the Jazz en Rafale competition with the group JAGG. The band's first album, entitled Mercure, was released on the Effendi label the following year. Recipient of a bursary for the pursuit of graduate studies, he undertakes a master's degree at McGill during which he studied, among others, with Jim Doxas and John Hollenbeck.
Since September 2018, Guillaume is a member of the quartet of François Bourassa, an internationally renowned Quebec pianist. He has also performed alongside several renowned musicians, including Jean-Michel Pilc, Ingrid Jensen, Christine Jensen, Noah Preminger, Frank Carlberg, John Stowell, Guido Basso, Ariel Pocock, Wayne Bergeron, Ranee Lee, Ira Coleman, Andrea Lindsay, Rémi Bolduc, Chet Doxas, Al McLean, Adrian Vedady, Jean-Nicolas Trottier and Frank Lozano.
